Ackerson Meadow Restoration - A Landmark Project

400-acre Ackerson Meadow, part of Yosemite National Park at of 2016, is in the Mather neighborhood and is being returned to natural conditions though a project addressing invasive plants, dried-out wetlands and even installing and monitoring restoration structures modeled on beaver dams. Interesting stuff!

Wetland restoration on this scale is unusual, and will be studied and learned from for years to come.
