A new book, Our Paradise – Berkeley's Fabulous Family Camps, by Mara Melandry is now available tracing the history of Berkeley's three municipal family camps since their establishment in the 1920's.

Author's note: "I have discovered what inspired city leaders to pursue such a program, the early adjustments of the camps, the impact of work events such as the Great Depression, World War II and the 1960s on them."

The book is available directly from the author and on Amazon. See PDF for details if you wish to order direct from the author.
